OVERHEAD SLAM

Web Design + HTML/CSS + 3D Rendering + Branding + Type Hierarchy

OVERVIEW

“Overhead Slam” represents a fusion of my web development expertise and personal interests, culminating in an HTML/CSS website for a dynamic pickleball entertainment hub and brewery. The site features four pages (home, menu, about, and location) with a consistent typographical hierarchy, working links, responsive pages, and a cohesive design. Inspired by my family’s passion for pickleball and a good beer, this project provided a fun opportunity to explore HTML/CSS and 3D rendering. I faced challenges ensuring cross-device compatibility and achieving a balanced visual design, but by leveraging media queries, I successfully overcame these obstacles.

CAN DESIGN

I downloaded stock illustrations and adapted them to fit the brewery’s playful and sporty theme. The cans feature names such as “Overhead Slam: The Original,” “Double Bounce,” “Serving 9-1-1,” all unified by the distinctive Bad Times typeface, a textured decorative font. This consistent typography ties the collection together, creating a recognizable and appealing brand aesthetic that captures the energy of pickleball.
